We had another perfect summer day today, starting with lots of swimming, tennis, and fun by the waterfront. Today our Seniors spent much of the day preparing for the final (secret!) events of the summer. They also joined the rest of camp for Sing Song practice this afternoon, as they work through their last days of practice before the big event this Thursday!

After weeks of preparation, today brought our matinee and evening show of Winnie the Pooh, performed by our Juniors. As I’m sure you can imagine, the audience was immediately welcomed with an overwhelming sense of excitement (and cuteness!) as the Junior cast sat on stage singing in their costumes. Before every show begins, our Sing-Song leaders and Seniors come into the theatre to lead campers to sing a series of beautiful camp songs. Once it’s time to start the show, the girls close by singing ‘Remember,’ a song all about holding closely to camp memories. From there, it’s lights, camera, action!

The story of our favorite honey-loving bear unfolded, and we went along on the journey of friendship with his best pals Christopher Robin, Piglet, Eeyore, Roo, Tigger, Roo, and Owl. The Juniors did such a fantastic job memorizing their lines, singing, and supporting one another up on stage. The crowd cheered so loud for our youngest campers as they made their debut in the theatre! It’s always a bit bittersweet when the final play of the summer arrives, but we have so many exciting events coming our way this week and next! We can’t wait to share all the stories and photos with you!

Kind Regards,

Leslie
