Days 15-17: Life needs Rest Hours

One of the best parts of the day at Tripp Lake Camp is Rest Hour; it’s the camp “pause button” that gives everyone a small intermission to take a nap, rest in their bunks, chat with bunkmates, play jacks, etc. With that said, your favorite camp blog–east of the Mississippi–will be taking the shortest of breaks between July 11th and 13th. But worry not, we will be back in full stride come Tuesday, the 14th with all-new video shorts, trivia, and daily updates. In the meantime, we’d like to take this moment to list the special upcoming events between July 11th through the 13th:

July 11th:

Junior/Senior Bingo – The Juniors are paired with Seniors for a rousing game of bingo located in Cliff House. There will be prizes, pajamas, and much bonding between the oldest and youngest age groups.

AJ/Inter I Kick Ball – While the Juniors & Seniors bond playing bingo, the AJs & Inter Is will meet up on the softball filed to play kickball. Teams will be mixed age groups and used as a wonderful “get to know” game to strengthen our already tight knit Tripp Lake community.

Mini-Snake Dance – A handful of counselors link arms and “dance” as a group around the campus flagpole in a snake-like motion. They soon break off and counselors leading Inter III’s canoe trips gather the girls around to discuss their three-day, two-night trip plans. Three different canoe trips will be going out to various scenic camping locations. The groups will be leaving on the 12th after lunch. Fun and paddling will be had by all.

July 12th:

Brother/Sister Day hosted by Tripp Lake Camp – Girls with relatives attending nearby camps meet up at TLC to have lunch and catch up. We know family is important to our campers and are always honored to hosting this special event.
