Day 14: Small Reflections at Tripp Lake Camp

The “secret” is out! This morning, the Seniors were awoken by the Inter I’s for Senior Serving. Inter I’s served breakfast-in-bed consisting of bagels, strawberries, and cream cheese. As the Seniors enjoyed their breakfast, the Inter I’s also sang songs they wrote in honor of each and every Senior.

Moving along, taking a moment out of our day to reflect is important. It allows us to think about something as simple as, “How was my day; or what was my favorite activity?” It can also let us work towards self-improvement: “Were my actions today thoughtful; or did I do anything that affected someone in a positive or negative way?”

Kimberly Summerfield, a former Tripp Lake Camper and five-year veteran counselor was the invited guest to speak at this week’s Friday Evening Service. The Inter II’s hosted, and performed Colors of the Wind. Click on the link below to hear an excerpt of Kimberly’s Friday Evening Service speech and the Inter II’s rendition of Colors of the Wind:

The TLC Times Blog visited  OTW while the Seniors’ rehearsed for All-Star Revue, and asked them to reflect on what OTW meant to them.  Check out the video short below created exclusively for the TLC Times Daily Blog:
