It’s a fantastic feeling to start another day with the sun shining on us at camp! Today we had a later breakfast, which the girls showed up to well-rested and ready to greet the day. As you all know, we’ve made a conscious decision to ensure the Tripp Lake bubble was a safe space this summer, which is why we have focused on bringing even more fun into camp this year. After getting the good news that we successfully created a safe bubble, we began thinking of fun ways to surprise our Seniors, Inter I’s, and Inter II’s with a fun and safe night outside of camp. Tonight we charted the Songo River Queen, an evening boat cruise in Naples, ME, where our very own staff DJs helped the girls dance the night away on Long Lake. We made it a point to completely charter our buses and the boat so that our girls could have the best (and safest) evening out on the water!

Girls boarded our buses with enthusiasm, ready to spend time with one another out on the water. Throughout the day, I had the chance to speak to a number of our Inter II, Inter I, and Seniors, and I was continually surprised by the number of campers who shared that they didn’t feel a need to leave the Tripp Lake bubble, and how much they’ve enjoyed just being back here after so much time away. Now don’t get me wrong, they were all still ecstatic about their evening boat cruise, but it was a good reminder that all our campers often want time together right here at camp.

As the girls got back from camp, they were beaming with excitement, and you could hear their cheering coming down Tripp Lake Camp Road. I was quickly able to tell (and hear!) that they had an incredible time tonight! During a year of so much impacting our health and safety, I’m glad that we were able to go about tonight in the safest way possible while still allowing our Seniors, Inter I’s Inter II’s to have some Tripp Lake ‘trip fun!’ Over the next few days, we lead into several camper favorite shows and events, and I can’t wait to be with our girls right here at camp making memories!

Kind Regards,

Leslie
