Day 11: Second Round of Trip Days & Camp Horoscopes

“Suns out, trips out!” Ok, so we tweaked the saying a bit, but hey, IT WAS TRIP DAY, FOLKS! The Juniors and AJs remained in camp, giving them a little taste of what it feels like to be the oldest age group in The Promised Land: Theatre practice in OTW, Tennis, Swim, and Land Sports, and Little Team Gaga.

As for the rest of the girls, today was filled with travel. The Subs conquered the infamous Table Rock Mountain, and Inter III’s got in plenty of  beach time at Reid State Park; they relaxed, read a book, and swam in the Atlantic Ocean.

The Inter II’s had a big day: A trip to Crescent Beach & Portland Headlight, complete with an Age Group Night Out, where they were treated to dinner and movie. The Inter I’s got in touch with their “inner Henry David Thoreau” by traversing on the Brook Trail in Wells, Maine, while the Seniors finished the first full day of their overnight trip whitewater rafting on the Penobscot River.

All in all, today was one of adventure and the normal highs Tripp Lake Camp has to offer. Before we wrap up today’s blog entry, I wanted to share with you another article written in this week’s published camper-written TLC Times. A handful of Subs looked into their crystal ball and created Big Team Horoscopes. This is dedicated to all the TLC alumni out there in the “real world” and still identify with a Big Team. Enjoy!

IMG_0806Tigers: We’re strong and fierce. Give fellow campers advice and be helpful, and you are sure to be in for a fantastic summer. We rule the jungle, so let’s show everyone what we’re made of!

IMG_0804Climbers: You have a positive attitude and a great sense of humor. Use your personality for the good of others, and you will get good fortune in return.

IMG_0808Giants: You have an outgoing and optimistic attitude that brings a smile to everyone’s face. If you smile, everyone else will smile too!

IMG_0805Cubs: You are cute and cuddly. You also have a fierce attitude! Help you’re campers along their way through camp, and you are sure to be a shining star at TLC this summer.

By the way, for all you curious Cookie Line aficionados, the cookie today was the fan favorite, Double Chocolate Chip! Commence freak out now!
