July 4, 2021 – TLC Times

Happy 4th of July from Tripp Lake Camp! The day started with a late morning start giving girls time to sleep in on this rainy Sunday morning. As girls finished up their breakfast, we wrapped up mealtime with our usual morning announcements. During breakfast, we brought all the age groups together to share some very exciting news. We were thrilled to share with our campers that we’re officially COVID-free at TLC!

After two weeks of pre-camp staff orientation that involved vaccinations, strict mask policies, social distancing, and rigorous testing, we were excited to find out that we were COVID-free! A very proud moment for our entire staff. We then welcomed campers into a healthy environment where we implemented the same pre-camp safety protocols. After our campers completed their PCR tests on Thursday, we then waited anxiously to hear the results. Our COVID-free news was everything we’ve been working towards as a community! We could not be more proud of our staff and campers, and more thankful to our families for following our safety protocols in the days leading up to camp!

Just when we thought this day couldn’t get any better, this evening brought our OC-NOC Show, which stands for ‘Old Counselor-New Old Counselor’ – a traditional event where counselors perform a talent show for all of camp. Counselors showed off their talents with everything from singing beautifully, dancing, playing their homemade movies, showing off their Colorguard skills, and so much more! After an evening of amazing talents, our campers ended the night watching fireworks by the lake – a beautiful way to end the day!

We hope you all had an amazing 4th of July!

Kind Regards,

Leslie
