Day 25: Anticipating And All That Jazz
We, at the TLC Daily Blog are not known to boast, but today’s weather was absolutely gorgeous. There, I said it. Tripp Lake Camp sent three buses of our girls out to Takajo, to meet up with their brothers and cousins. Takajo was celebrating “Carnival,” a fun-filled day with bounce houses galore, snow cones, cotton candy, and all the bells and whistles that make children absolutely love life. Outside of that, today was one of those rare days when things ran as “normal” as can be….but, not to fret, there’s much on the horizon.
Come Friday & Saturday, the Tripp Lake Camp Family is going to grow with the upcoming Visiting Day Weekend! It marks the halfway point of our camp season, and what better way to celebrate it then having our campers parents & grandparents swing by to hug and share in their kids’ Tripp Lake experience.
Immediately following Visiting Day Weekend, Long Trip Week begins! The older age groups will head out on separate adventures; it’s part fun, exploration, camping, and bonding. To keep in line with today’s blog’s theme of “anticipation,” I’ll write more about this later next week, so get excited! 🙂
Before we go, the TLC Daily Blog wants to share a couple of simple moments from this past week:
Earlier today, we recorded a bus full of girls singing Thunderation as we drove down Tripp Lake Camp Rd. For those alumnae that have fond memories tied to this tradition, I implore you to click on the link below, turn your speakers all the way up, and sing along.

Last, but certainly not least, Charlotte Hawkins created another video exclusively for The TLC Daily Blog. She spent her Tuesday Trip Day with the Juniors as they explored the Desert of Maine (yes, there’s a Desert in Maine).
