Day 20: The Blue Canoe Has Landed!
Well the title tells it all; today Special Day came to Tripp Lake Camp with much success and celebration. The weather was perfect, the games and stations were set up, and counselors dressed up in costumes made the night before. This year’s theme was “TLC Bedtime Stories,” with teams like Where The Wild Things Are, Curious George, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, and Charlotte’s Web to name a few.
Here are the top 10 favorite moments of this year’s Special Day:
10. The promise of a possible ice cream smorgasbord to the winning team!

8. Free dress and face painting.
7. The teams’ parade starring Nancy, Janet, Leslie, and all the counselors.
6. Snow cones, nachos, cotton candy, soda, and popcorn.
5. Bounce House!!
4. Dunking your favorite counselor at the dunk tank.
3. The waterslide!
2. Did I mention the snow cones, nachos, cotton candy, soda, and popcorn!?
1. The Seniors age group night out to Happy Wheels for a fun-filled night of rollerskating decked out in our favorite and most grandiose Big Team clothing.
