Welcome back for our week 3 recap. Has it really just been a week?! Somehow, this week managed to top the last—and no, it’s not just the lingering sugar rush from cotton candy and nachos on Special Day (though those didn’t hurt!). And yes, the new inflatables were just as amazing as your girls will tell you!
As the days unfold, we’ve watched our girls settle beautifully into the rhythm of camp life. They’ve found their groove—embracing friendships, stepping into new routines, and fully immersing themselves in everything Tripp Lake has to offer. With Sing Song practice and team games in full swing, we’re now in that “sweet spot” where camp truly feels like home.
Across campus, we see girls walking side by side, holding hands, laughing over inside jokes, and sporting the most fabulous combinations of team clothes. Morning assemblies are filled with confidence and energy as girls head into the day, ready for whatever’s ahead. Evenings bring spontaneous dance parties, DIY nail and hair salons, and Gaga games that cross age groups—because downtime here still means together time.
This week, every age group headed off on an adventure. Whether hiking, swimming, sharpening their archery skills, or even whipping up handmade pasta in an Italian cooking class, campers were busy exploring, learning, and making memories. Some groups enjoyed a special night out, and everyone returned to camp beaming.
In camp, highlights included Brother-Sister Day, fun-filled socials (including the ever-popular Senior Bounty!), Big Team Tennis, a Pajama Breakfast, and the adored Senior Wimbledon. We were also lucky enough to spend two evenings in the theater for age group shows. The applause could be heard around camp for the incredible performances by Inter Is in Pitch Perfect and the Inter IIs in Legally Blonde.
In the quieter moments of the week, we saw our girls soak in the camp energy at Little team and Inter Campfires. While roasting marshmallows and sharing stories, girls also found time to sing camp songs and enjoy the cool and peaceful Maine evenings. Friday Evening services led by the AJs and Subs also invited our girls to take a moment to be still and calm as they reflected on the week and listened to speeches expressing the meaning of camp to several of our 1ABers.
With busy weeks like this, your girls have had plenty to write home about! We hope you have been getting details on the big events of camp, but especially on the little moments in between that are shared just between a couple girls or sealed and delivered in an envelope just to you. If you’re wondering what to write back about, here are some of our suggestions:
- We can’t wait to see you- but we know who is even more excited! What is your child most excited to show you on visiting day?
- Singing in Over the Wall, our theater, has only gotten louder and more confident as campers remember old songs and become familiar to the feeling of connection as campers of all ages join in song before our camp shows. Did your child learn a new camp song at campfires this week that they’re excited to sing in OTW?
- From the tennis courts to the soccer field, our Tripp lakers have been showing off their skills in matches and games dueling other camps. Did your child make any inter-camp sports teams?
We won’t be surprised if by the time you get a chance to ask these questions, our campers are already too excited for your arrival to possibly write you back. We know our girls can’t wait to see you soon and bring you into their camp world for a glimpse of their Tripp Lake experience. We are looking forward to Week 4 and all the incredible things in store!
All our TLC Love,
The Tripp Lake Team
