Week 2, 2025 – TLC Times

By July 6, 2025 TLC Times

Just as we expected (at least on our end!), week two flew by—and we’re back to fill you in on all the excitement.

This week at Tripp Lake was jam-packed with incredible events, activities, and energy. From OG-NOG to OC-NOC, our OTW stage came alive with dazzling performances by our amazing campers and counselors. We also kicked off our first big team swim meet and had an epic AJ–Inter I kickball game. Thankfully, the rain cleared just in time for everyone to get outside and make the most of these fun-filled events!

Trips were another big highlight of the week. Campers across nearly every age group ventured out for adventures—surfing, rafting, camping, strawberry picking, and more! Our Seniors even got a surprise bonus trip to Happy Wheels. While most age groups were out exploring, our Inter I campers stayed behind to prepare for the Fourth of July ceremony, which they led beautifully. Don’t feel too bad for them though—they also spent part of the day down at ski, banana boating and water skiing their event-planning worries away!

A huge shoutout to our Inter Is for leading such a meaningful and heartfelt celebration of Independence Day, and to our two youngest campers for raising the flag in their very first Fourth of July at camp. Their message reminded us of our history, our hopes for the future, and the importance of always letting the sun shine in.

We also want to thank our Inter IIs for leading that evening’s Friday night services. As always, it was peaceful, thoughtful, and so special to share that moment together in our favorite spot overlooking the lake.

And believe it or not, there was still more! On Friday, the AJs and Subs faced off against Fernwood Cove in intercamp soccer, and on Saturday night, our Seniors left us speechless with their stunning “All Star Review.”

Of course, some of the most magical moments are the quieter ones—laughing with bunkmates, cheering at meals, or seeing a camper try something for the very first time. Here’s what some of our campers had to say about their favorite moments from the week:

  • Chloe S. (Junior): “My favorite part of the week was signing up and practicing for my dance show solo.”
  • Elin M. (AJ): “I loved celebrating the 4th of July because we got to have so much fun and wear free dress!”
  • Sienna A. (Sub): “I really liked intercamp tennis tryouts and playing with different age groups because I got to meet new people.”
  • Maggie L. (Inter III): “I liked Brother–Sister Day because I got to see my brother and play pickleball together.”
  • Lexi P. (Inter II): “My favorite part was taking a trip to go surfing. Even though the ocean was super cold, it was so much fun!”
  • Scarlett T. (Inter I): “I’ve loved working in Scrapbook because we get to collaborate as a team and with our age group.”
  • Audrey K. (Senior): “I’m loving the dining hall dance parties at lunch. As a younger camper, I always looked up to the 1ABers who led the singing and cheers—and now I get to be part of that!”

If there’s one thing these reflections make clear, it’s that week two gave our campers so many opportunities to grow, connect, and shine. Whether they were trying something new, taking part in a cherished tradition, or just enjoying time with friends and siblings, our girls brought courage, joy, and heart to every moment.

We’re incredibly proud of all they’ve accomplished—and we can’t wait to see what week three brings! Current families can check out their myTLC accounts for the Week 2 video recap!

All our TLC Love,

The Tripp Lake Team
