Day 31: The Littlest Birds Sing The Prettiest Songs

Attention! Attention! Junior Special Day came to Tripp Lake Camp! What exactly does that entail? Well, after Rest Hour, an announcement went out over the PA calling all Juniors to meet at the Spahn House steps. Their collective squeals of excitement could be immediately heard from campus. Due to a thunderstorm watch, Junior Special Day was held in our activity space at Under The Dining Hall. The weather didn’t take away form the fun as Juniors played Twister, made friendship bracelets, took fun photos, made candy art, and played a water balloon game.

Finally, the latest edition of the camper-created TLC Times was published yesterday. We here at the TLC Daily Blog wanted to share a particular article simply called, “What We Love About Tripp Lake.” Here, younger campers in different age groups tell us the reasons why Tripp Lake is so special to them:

“Tripp Lake is special because it’s a place where memories are formed. You make new friends, and get to spend time with them. At Tripp, you get to try new activities and improve on them. You might find your new passion, or new best friends. Every day you learn something new. I love Tripp Lake because it helped me discover who I am. TLC is a place like no other.” – Sadie, Sub

“I love it when you find out your team; your heart starts beating with excitement and you scream and shout when you hear the Captain read out your name. When they are finished, you go to your Team Tree and begin learning cheers.”  – Carly, Junior

“One thing I really love about Tripp Lake are the team games. I love dressing up in crazy team clothes. I also really like yelling team cheers across the field. Even if you lose, your team will still cheer you on. I have a lot of special memories from team games.” – Hannah, AJ
